St Andrews held their annual football tournament at St Andrews Healthcare in Northampton on Friday 22nd of July. 6 teams from around the county attended, and Bridge put in one team. The tournament was played in a league format and Bridge won 1, drew 3, and lost 1 which qualified them for the semi finals.
Bridge won their semi by 1-0, Recovery House awaited them in the final, which was a repeat of the last year’s final.
The final was a close game, with the game goalless after 12 minutes, there were 3 minutes of golden goal to be played. With penalties looming for both teams, Recovery House with a great play of football scored with the last kick (header) of the game. Congratulations to Recovery House who played well throughout, and well played Bridge who have done well in another football tournament.
Thank you to Craig from St Andrews and Russell from Northampton Football in the Community for organising the tournament.
