Bridge Wellingborough would like to advertise for two part time volunteers.
We are looking for Volunteer Group Facilitators/Peer Support Workers.
We require volunteers to cover either:
- Monday to Friday, 10am – 2pm each day for both roles
- To cover between them: Monday and Tuesday 10am – 2pm (one role) and Thursday and Friday 10am – 2pm (one role).
The days for each role could be negotiable, but we would want the whole week to be covered (Wednesday afternoon is a bonus but not essential).
The roles will be supporting Recovery Workers in facilitating groups and activities, and some of that would be independently. The second part of the role is to generally support members whilst at Bridge, showing empathy and having a non judgemental attitude and inclusive approach. Click here to view a full role description.
Both roles will be fully supervised and training will be given.
We are currently recruiting volunteer mentors.
Our mentors are volunteers who are prepared to give their own time to help others improve their lives. They will have some history of addiction to a substance or alcohol and/or homelessness and will be able to identify with the problems facing clients who have decided to address their alcohol, drug or housing problems. Bridge Mentors are not counsellors or drug workers. Their role is limited to a few hours a week of help and support.

We currently have no vacancies.
