Mental Health Retreat

Our camping trip ticked all the boxes. Kate is a great hostess and all members felt welcomed and included, with plenty of camping equipment (tents/bedding) and a lovely space for our camp and campfire next to the stream which was relaxing and private. Catering was excellent and we particularly enjoyed the barbeque in the evening.
The involvement with the animals was very interesting and useful which helped us all connect with the stables and the life around it.
We went foraging with Lizzy which was informative and engaging as well as a great way to learn and explore the local countryside and this time our group engaged with anxiety therapy workshops and meditation. These sessions were pitched perfectly for our members and we were pleased that everyone in our camping group felt they could get involved and get something out of the sessions and enjoyed the time spent in such a lovely space.
Would thoroughly recommend to groups considering a stay here. It is clear the staff have enthusiasm, genuine care and consideration for those visiting and make the stay very worthwhile.

Party in the Park

The scene was set and the sun was shining brightly in the sky as staff and members from Northampton Bridge made their way from Bridge to Becketts Park.
Everyone was really excited to be spending the day outside in good weather with great people.
Some members brought their families and friends with them, which made the day that little bit more special.
With around 65 people in the park, we played rounders, football, volleyball, Jono entertained the kids with bubbles galore, and even played a little ditty on his Ukelele.
All in all, the day was brilliant fun, and everyone came home feeling happy with full bellies from the Picnic.
We definitely think we should do this again soon!

Drama Therapy

Drama Therapy run by ‘The Power of Play’ was fantastic fun.

We started with a few ‘games’ first in pairs then as a group in a circle. These were easy to make mistakes with so there was a lot of laughter.
After a break we were able to use some of the ‘props’, costumes, hats and glasses and again worked in groups, in one people were having a job interview for ‘imitating a washing machine’ and the other was as a choir and the singing had to be controlled by the conductor, everyone had really come out of their shells by this time and the acts were hilarious and there was so much  laughing we were heard round the building. Everyone left the session feeling great.
