Bridge is a peer support programme which links volunteers who may have recovered from alcohol and/or drug misuse with members who have, or who are recovering from serious substance misuse problems. Bridge also provides a range of activities, events and support and our outstanding teams include recovery workers who support our members to sustain their recovery, as well as staff who specialise in advice and guidance on benefits, housing and employment.
In addition to salaried staff, we are also able to offer volunteering opportunities, and we are currently looking for an Admin Assistant based at our Corby service. In this interesting and varied role volunteer admin assistants may be required to:
• Input data onto the database, including attendance records, case notes and new referrals
• Write and dispatch routine letters
• Basic understanding of Excel &/or Google Sheets
• Answer general telephone enquiries
• Maintain records and filing systems
• Undertake any other tasks that may be reasonably required within the volunteer’s capabilities.
Key requirements
• Good communication skills and telephone manner
• Good interpersonal skills
• Computer literate
• Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
• Flexible
• Friendly & approachable
